Simply Audiobooks is one of the best audio book rental sites out there. You can get your audio books via download with their different membership plans. They only offer around 20,000 audio book titles, whereas another site, Audible, offers around 35,000 titles for the same prices.
Features
They make it very easy for you to find audio books that will either entertain, educate you or change your life (you know, those self help audio books). They have an advanced search option that allows you to search by keyword, author, title, ISBN, narrator and genre. You can also sort your results by the most rented, best sellers, price, relevance or other criteria. If you still can not find the audio book you are looking for, they also have lists that you can browse through like Oprah’s Favorites, the New York Times Best Sellers, USA Today and Audio Award Winners. Every audio book they have includes a clear sample that you can listen to before you purchase or rent it.
Their inventory offers you a very diverse selection and the categories are specific enough to allow you to browse the audio books by topic. With the subcategories in each category, you are sure to find what you are looking for.
Memberships
They offer two different membership “clubs”. They have the download club and the rental club with different options available in each club. Both club memberships start out at the same price of $14.95. The download club membership only gives you one audio book rental per month and up to a 50% discount on additional purchases. The rental club membership for the same price offers unlimited rentals per month, free shipping both ways, and no late fees or due dates, but you can still only have one rental at a time. You can even prepay for a full year and not only save money, but you also get further discounts as well.
Usability
The site is very easy to navigate and they are very well organized. They may not offer quite as many audio book titles as some of the other sites, but the easy to use search engine is a big plus.

If you would rather rent an audio book than buy it or you are looking for a decent selection, then this site is perfect. With their download club offering instant access to audio book rentals, this site ranks high enough up there that it is worth the reasonable prices.
