FX Audio Editor is an audio editing software program that can do many different things. It can quickly and easily rip and burn many audio file formats and save them in just about any other of the popular file formats. Even though this program can help you restore your old school LPs and make them into more up to date cds, it does not have preset pop and click filters or a noise reducer.
Tools and Features
Even without the preset filters, it is still a great program provided you know what your doing when filtering files. However, it does feature some more advanced editing tools like batch conversion and an equalizer. You can also use the quick mouse scroll zoom and also edit tag information. It does not include a frequency tuner, processor or give you the ability to set cue points. It does include about fifteen preset effects and around eight preset filters (band pass, notch, FFT, etc.).
FX Audio Editor has a feature that can easily record from a line-in, streaming audio and video, or rip from a cd. It has a cd burning program built in that is compatible with a wide range of file formats including the newer AIFF format that the Apple IPod uses. It is also compatible with several of the WAV formats and WMA as well.
All of these tools and features are very easy to use so you do not have to be a rocket scientist to use this software. The way they have it set up on the main screen is with simple self explanatory icons that will quickly and easily guide you to the feature or tool that you want to use.
Tech Support
Since the software has easy to read and use help documentation, you should not have to use their customer support. The help section is very helpful in the fact it is easy to read and understand. They also offer online tutorials and a glossary of terms and tools. If you do have to contact them they will answer you with a quick and prompt answer to your question. This software does work with Windows Vista.

This program is very good and easy to use. It has easy to understand tools and features so that the expert and beginner can use this program with ease.
