It is also a very flexible software program.

This program supports an incredibly long list of editing tools and visual aides to help you in your projects. It has waveform, spectral view, VU meter, analog meter, an x-y graph, spectrogram and a “blowing inferno”. The editing tools include batch processing, information editing, mixing, channel mixing, an equalizer, processor, an expression evaluator, format converter, effect chain editor, and also signal analysis tools. All of your edits and changes that you make to your project are done fast and since it has the option of previewing the final copy, you can rest assured that your project will have professional looking and sounding results. GoldWave Digital Audio Editor also has about twenty preset effects like compressing/expanding, vocal reduction ability, dopler, cross fading and time warp.
It also includes noise and silence reduction, pop and click remover, smoother and FFT filters which can make for great restoration projects. This program can split files, but it does not have the ability to split tracks.
