Spy Agent Review Every group of friends has that one person who seems to do a little bit of everything. This person always knows how to handle themselves, and they have proven their worth on more than one occasion. It's like the mechanic who is also an electrician and plumber, as well as operating as a freelance web designer in their spare time. SpyAgent is much like that, accomplishing a lot of tasks that a single software program generally can't do.
SpyAgent is packed full of features and tidbits, allowing it to accomplish things that used to require two or more applications. This jock of all trades is well adapted, relatively easy to use, and certainly quite capable. In fact, when we were reviewing this software, we actually had to disable some other privacy and security software that we had installed previously. This software, without question, is one of the most comprehensive monitoring suites that we have tested. Features
What doesn't SpyAgent do? SpyAgent logs keystrokes, website visits, applications opened/closed, internet connections, file usage, printed documents, instant messaging conversations, windows opened, and sent/received e-mail. It does all of this while running in complete stealth (unable to be detected in the task menu), and it is able to send these logs to you via e-mail or FTP.
It also has built in content filtering, and it records screen shots so that you can see exactly what was gong on. It even disables spyware detectors so that the monitored user doesn't inadvertently become aware of SpyAgent's presence.
Using SpyAgent Installing and configuring SpyAgent is relatively simple and it goes by without incident. At no point during our testing did we experience any software failures or slowdowns, and the CPU usage stayed about the same, adding further to the software's stealth.
The main interface is aesthetically pleasing and very easy to navigate. Many of the categories give you a quick summary of activity. For example, the keystrokes category will tell you that there have been X many keystrokes made since it has begun logging, so that you can see if there has been any activity. Of course, clicking on that particular category will open a much more detailed log menu.
The content filtering is quite basic, though its addition to the program is a welcome one. If anything, it at least makes the computer more versatile and ads to the capabilities of the software. If you are looking for basic content filtering, this software has one built in.
We were quite impressed with the performance of this software. Though there were a few minor flaws, they did not detract from the overall experience too much.
Conclusion A fine piece of software. SpyAgent is worth every penny, not only for its impressive capabilities and performance, but also for its extensive feature list and simple interface.
