Movie Download

Movielink

Accessing movies online has become an explosive industry, with many services offering thousands of movie titles to choose from at attractive price points. Some services actually ship you a physical DVD, while others simply allow you to download the movie to your computer (albeit with some restrictions). Movielink is one such service that allows you to purchase a movie to download to your computer.

Movielink’s pricing is set on a per-movie basis, meaning that there is no monthly membership premium to pay. If you don’t intend on

purchasing a lot of movies this will be perfect for you. And, if you do intend on purchasing a lot of movies, the pricing is competitive enough that you are still getting a great deal.

The Skinny on Movielink

Movielink incorporates a technology called “Progressive Downloading” that allows you to watch a movie as you are downloading it. This means that, supposing your connection is fast enough (regular high speed should be fine), you’ll be able to have instant access to over 1,400 different movie titles and you’ll be able to watch them immediately!

This technology effectively removes the wait time typically associated with movie download sites, and it certainly is better than going to your local video store to rent something.

Movielink in Detail

If the idea of purchasing movies from Movielink sounds good to you there are probably only two things that are important: price, and restrictions. Pricing is generally set between $1.99 and $5.99 per movie, though there are occasional exceptions to that rule. There are a few restrictions to the downloaded movie, such as the inability to burn them to DVD’s or transfer them to portable players, but that’s probably due to the movie studio’s licensing agreement and not Movielink.

The movies transfer over quickly enough, so even if you aren’t watching them as they are downloading you’ll still get your movie in good time.

Conclusion

Though the competition for control over this market is fierce, we feel that Movielink is a solid entry and definitely worth your consideration. The ability to watch the movies as you download them greatly reduces the wait times for accessing your newly purchased files, and the quality for both the video and sound is fantastic.

We give Movielink an 8.5/10.

A visit to your local video store will give you the same selection as every other video store in the country. If all you watch is the latest and greatest from Hollywood, you may not mind. If you are looking for unique, specialized content, however, you’ll probably have to keep looking.

Apple - iTunes

 iTunes - Movie Downloads

Have you ever wondered how some companies are able to enter a market and simply dominate it from the get go? There aren’t a lot of examples of this phenomenon anymore, though one could certainly point their finger at Google. Apple, however, remained a bit of an underdog for quite some time. It wasn’t until recently that Apple began the climb towards the top.

MovieFlix Review

If there’s one thing the internet is good at, it’s bringing people of common interests together. YouTube is a prime example of this fact. Where else can millions of people go to watch other people get drop-kicked in the groin? Were it not for the generous bandwidth offered by YouTube, it simply wouldn’t be possible.
