When I'm shopping for important software, I like to stick with what works – plain and simple – and that is Zone Alarm.

ZoneAlarm Pro has been around for a while now, and it seems to work just fine. When it was first released, it was an amazing application. Well coded, well designed, and well thought out. Over time, we can't see any of that changing, though we have been bitten hard before (The new Ford Thunderbird, for example). To save you from spending your hard earned money stupidly, we've decided to test out the latest release of ZoneAlarm Pro.

ZoneAlarm Pro combines with your existing anti-virus, giving your spyware, hacker, and virus protection, all from one easy to use menu. This lets your operate without having to purchase another anti-virus suite. This leads to time and money saved, so we'd like to give the designers a big “Thank You”!

ZoneAlarm Pro will check incoming and outgoing e-mail for viruses. Even if you block incoming traffic, you can sill transmit a virus using your outgoing bandwidth. ZoneAlarm Pro can be customized entirely, giving you complete and total control. By monitoring your traffic, the ideal result is that ZoneAlarm Pro will give you good results, right?

Using ZoneAlarm Pro

This software works quite well, and it integrates into your computer entirely. In fact, if had decided that we didn't want to see its automatic notification, we'd probably have forgotten that we'd even installed it. However, we can see when it blocks incoming access, and ZoneAlarm Pro gives us complete control over the outcome: if we really wanted, we could block all programs from accessing the Internet, but where's the fun in that?

The software requires no input on your end unless you want to make safe lists or open ports up, and all of that is done quickly and easily.

ZoneAlarm has proven to be a top seller, and it's been a pretty good piece of software. However, ZoneAlarm has taken on more junk and added more features. But, in this industry, that's what people want, and that's what we're going to get.
